1/2 Ton Spanco 301 Series Wall-Mounted Jib Crane- Tie Rod Design
| Manufacture Part Number | 301-050 |
|---|---|
| Brand | Spanco |
| Estimated Ship Time | 2-3 Weeks |
Spanco Wall-Mounted Jib Cranes require no floor space and no special foundations. The most economical crane, the Tie Rod 301 has no support structure under the beam so the trolley hoist can virtually travel the whole length of the boom. They quickly fold out of the way of large overhead cranes.
Additional features and benefits include:
- 200° degree rotation.
- Utilizes a standard I-beam boom, a tie rod threaded at both ends, a fabricated beam bracket, and two wall brackets; one for the tie rod and one for the boom
- Allows maximum usage of the work area, including work close to the existing structure, because there are no supporting components under the boom.
- This design is the most economical style of jib crane, provided overhead clearance or building column strength is not a limiting factor
- Up to 30' standard spans
- Holds up to 5 tons

Q1: Do I need to pour a new concrete foundation to install the 1/2 Ton Advantage FL Series Foundationless Jib Crane?
No, The FL Series bolts directly onto your existing concrete floor without requiring a new foundation. This eliminates excavation, curing time, and extra construction costs, making it a faster and more affordable installation option for most industrial facilities.
Q2: What concrete floor conditions does my facility need to meet before installing th e foundationless jib crane?
Existing concrete must be at least 6 in thick, reinforced to a minimum of 3,000 psi , and crack-free within a 6ft by 6ft base area. Soil pressure must also support 2,500 psi . A local engineer should verify floor conditions before installation begins.
Q3: Can the 1/2 Ton FL Series Foundationless Jib Crane serve more than one workstation from a single floor location?
Yes. The FL Series is specifically designed for open floor areas where one crane can rotate to cover multiple nearby workstations. Its freestanding design requires no wall or ceiling structural support, offering flexible lifting coverage across your entire plant floor.
Q4: What rotation stop options are available to prevent the crane boom from swinging into restricted or hazardous areas?
Three rotation stop options are available: weld-on, bolt-on, and an adjustable collar style. These control the boom's swing range, protecting nearby workers, equipment, and walls. They're a strongly recommended safety addition for busy industrial and manufacturing plant floor environments.
Q5: What accessories can I add to the 1/2 Ton Advantage FL Series Foundationless Jib Crane to improve installation and daily performance?
Available add-ons include festooning tag line kits, steel cable trolleys, multiple plywood bolt pattern templates, a 12-hole anchor bolt kit, and a top-entry collector ring. These accessories simplify the installation layout, neatly manage hoist cables , and support efficient powered hoist integration.
